Random diary

What it is to be alone? You never realize that till the time you are not alone.
No one to assist no one to extend support. The mind goes spiral with thousands of thoughts and sucks the positive energy - a drained mind is not ideal for getting things done. The team is still not up to speed and we have miles to cover - not certain on what's going on. Life is never the same this year. Wish some better days ahead.

When you see smile missing from your kids face it is so tough to take. A nightmare while sleep can

Today thinking of completing few things before calling it a day - lets see what happens in the evening.

Missing you maa.

AAP and Criminalization of Politics

Decriminalization of Politics

There is a big issue of criminalization of politics.

Decriminalization of politics is required. It can be only done by effective judiciary which unfortunately is very highly in-efficient. The implementation of recently Supreme Court guideline about setting a deadline for 1 year for cases will go long way.

Another point is, just because something is very wrong in the system doesn't mean party like AAP will solve the issue. Look at the kind of candidate they have chosen, After taking high moral ground, even in first election they have fielded the criminals - How come attorney bharati is not a criminal. How come Narendra Mohanty is not criminal (28 cases), National average is 19% candidate and AAP has 15% criminal candidates. In delhi election they have minimal people with criminal track, one limited SUCCESS in delhi has changed AAP so much. Even though I agree with problem , AAP is definitely is not a solution.
New Dictionary of AAP -
Communal means Selfish
Being Communal is a virtue.

Shazia Ilmi says

“Don’t be much secular. Muslims are too secular and they should become communal. They are not communal and do not vote for themselves. Arvind Kejriwal is ours. Muslims have remained secular for long....have voted for the Congress and helped them win. Don’t be so secular and look at your house (community) this time. Other parties have their votebank intact and Muslim votes split. This is a controversial statement, but we should look at our own interest,”

Aravind Kejariwal's interpretation:

“As per the Election Commission, the communal word is defined as somebody trying to instigate hatred among two communities. If there was any indication of Shazia doing that, she would have been ousted from the party. Her use of words was not proper. We condemn that. She wanted to say that you people (Muslims) become selfish for education and future of your children. We disapprove of the use of words by her,”

Are we helpless?

After Delhi incident - I felt helpless. I am worried not only about my two daughters but about myself too. Who will save me and my family from 3 important evils threatening my survival every day.
  1. Terrorism
  2. Corruption
  3. Safety - Particularly Women Safety
Everytime something happens we get into hyper-active mode and get back to same normal cozy (?) life.
Remember our response on IAC (Anna H movement), Jessica Lal case verdict, Nitish Katara verdict,

Will we do the same thing this time too. Can we sit idle after we are done with protest and candle light vigil.

India - Please wake up. Dont speak up for few moments and go silent again like a coma patient. It is a long battle and it will take more than speding 2-3 days at Jantar Manter or India Gate.

We can make your small contribution by pledging that we will VOTE this time. Will it solve the issue - definitley not !!!!! But it will make our voice heard as it will threaten the survival of political class.

One can argue that we don't have choice, this is because we have never created choices. Currently political class doesnot think that we middle class exist. and funnily we really dont exist for them as we DON'T vote.

Please create choices by voting. Its classical chicken-egg problem. Please dont remain trapped in that.

We can do any amount of protest and the political class will NOT bother till the time we dont threat their existence by showing them our votes matter.

Look at the events:
- Nov 2008  - Attack on Mumbai - We got agitated. We had our share of agony.
- May 2009  - General election - voting percentage
- Mumbai     - 46-47%.
- Bangalore  - 44 %
- Delhi          - 47-48%
- Similarly in other metros.

These are registered voters. I know most of us have not taken small pain to get themselves registered. That population is significant and are larger portion of the people who are agitated right now.

Why should political class worry about the agitated people if they know these people will not make any diffeence in their destiny.

Please make choices - right or wrong but it is better than choices made by other people. At least we will say it is my choice.

LETS GET OURSELVED REGISTERED AS VOTER TODAY and VOTE.
